November 1, 2017 0:00 Introduction 15:35 Session 1: Challenging the Travel Ban at the U.S. Supreme Court 1:23:41 Session 2: Racial Realities in America's Changing Landscape 2:50:00 Session 3: What Does it Mean to be Caught in an Era of Deportation? This inaugural annual forum invites vital international voices to participate in a range of presentations that provide the legal and greater community with insights into major trends, practices and developments in immigration law and policy. Featured speakers for the November 1, 2017 event were Omar Jadwat, Director of the ACLU’s Immigrant Rights Project; Deepa Iyer, Senior Fellow, Center for Social Inclusion; and Maggie Loredo, Co-Director of Otros Dreams en Acción. The Center for New Americans was created in response to a critical, unmet need for pro bono legal services in our immigrant and refugee communities. In February 2017 the Center announced a $25 million gift from the Robina Foundation and the Center was renamed the James H. Binger Center for New Americans.
